SUSTAINABILITY COMMITMENTS.
“We believe in sustainability and climate change and recognise that fashion is an industry that could do so much better. That’s why from our inception we have tried in every way possible to minimise our impact on the environment. Although we are not yet a fully sustainable brand given our size, we are committed to a journey of sustainability as we continue to grow where at each stage in our growth we are the most responsible version we can be..”

We have already been doing some great things.
Less waste and no landfill! We carefully curate our clothes so that our community love them and we have partnered with suppliers that have the technology to create smaller batches so that we only order what we can sell (which means sometimes we only have very limited stock of the special pieces – sorry). Any dead stock we commit to donating to LGBT+ charity G(END)ER SWAP https://genderswap.org/ to help our community.
No animals were harmed in the making of our clothes. No animal skins (furs and leather), no wool, no buts! Vegans love us – just ask Bimini.
Smashing our carbon footprint by offsetting 100% of our carbon by planting trees. We have partnered with Ecologi (https://ecologi.com/) which is an easy way we can all offset our impact on this world.
We source quality and durable clothing not disposable fashion so unlike other brands (you know who you are) we will never sell clothes for £0 just to be thrown away. 3 out of 5 garments every year get thrown out around the world. We want Bougie Studio clothes to become vintage not garbage!
We keep our packaging minimal and it is all fully recyclable.
Every little bit counts. No swing tags because every single swing tag gets thrown away. With more than 100,000,000,000 items of clothing sold every year around the world, that’s 1,500,000,000,000 (yes that’s a lot of zeros) swing tags in landfill since Gaga released Bad Romance.
“We commit to continuously improving on our sustainability creds as we grow as a business and will be completely transparent so that you know where we stand and you can be comfortable buying Bougie Studios. Look for future updates and keep us accountable.”
